The Reel - A Film, Art & Innovation Festival is an exciting week-long cultural event based in Chelsea, MA that includes screenings of short films produced by filmmakers based in New England only.
Founders
Devra Sari Zabot On Clark Ave, based in Chelsea and K. Elisa Garcia of Endless Films, Chelsea native, based in Everett are thrilled to partner on The Reel for our second year -creating space for our local talent in film, art and innovation to shine and for our local community members to experience, engage and enjoy.
We are committed to creating opportunities as we believe in the power of film to empower and uplift the individual and a community. Our first year was successful. We are excited about raising the bar this year.
Artists & innovators
This year we are excited to invite local visual artists and innovators/entrepreneurs at the intersection of tech & creativity to submit their work for review! We are offering up the wall space of the theater for artwork (for sale) and will have a pitch event for five entrepreneurs.
Students
Young fimmakers between the ages of 14 and 24 are welcome to submit their films for consideration of our Student Short Film Block. Please email devra@onclarkave.com for a 100% discount code.

We were delighted to have Meg Montagnino-Jarrett, MA Film Office; Dr. Hunter Vaughan, Director of the Emerson Environmental Media Initiative (EEMI), and Melanie Kahn, Director, Public Safety, Emerson College discuss career paths and innovations in Sustainability in Film Production. The panel was moderated by Carlos R. Gálvez, Director of Economic Sustainability and Mobility.
